The NESTIX solution supports the pipe cutting, bending and welding processes, starting from the design results (interfaces to tools like: Intergraph© Spoolgen, IntergraphTM Smart3D, Aveva PDMS, Aveva E3D etc). This production-oriented data system controls all the required fabrication steps, like cutting, beveling, grinding, bending and welding required to make the spools. Utilizing material optimization through pipe part nesting in combination with remnant management have resulted in proven further material optimization and savings. This functionality therefore is complimentary to the traditional ERP solutions.

Through tracking of all the fabrication steps, the solution allows full material traceability from the point where the raw pipe part is taken from the warehouse, using the heat numbers in combination with the parts descriptions. All steps are monitored in real time either through manual entry at the working queue or through utilizing automated barcode, QR code or RFID systems.
